Went in to see Kayla today around 3pm, she had just gotten a bath and looked so cute. She was doing well, she had only had 7 desats that day shift which is pretty good considering this last week. Cynthia her nurse had said she might move Kayla down the hall to a new little area. That's a good sign, they say that when the babies move closer to the door they are closer to getting home. I had talked to the Dr. this morning he had said that Kayla should get her eye exam on Friday, I really hope it goes alright. Need some good prayers. They have moved around Kayla's caffeine to keep up with her desats, I thought the caffeine was to keep up Kayla's heart rate but found out that it helps widen the bronchial tubes in hopes to let in more air and lower the desats. Kayla is getting 30cc's of breast milk and still doing well at two on her pressure oxygen. Mike and I went in for Kayla's 9pm cares to find out she had moved, hooray! We have moved closer to the door in our own new area, it's so nice it feels like Kayla is not as sick or small. Like she just doesn't need as much attention as she did before because she has moved down that hall it's so exciting for Mike and I, it just makes us feel like she's a big girl now. Also Kayla is now 3lbs 6oz, she is growing a little more than an ounce a day, which is exactly what the Dr's want her to do.
