Hooray for another quiet day with Kayla. Kayla got a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Moot today as well as her great aunt Mary. She was awake for most the time they were there visiting her, dad loved seeing her with her eyes open and she smiled a couple of times at them, so sweet. We have also noticed that when Kayla does do her little smiles she has dimples, Mike and I thought she might because we both do, she just gets cuter every day. :) Mike and I went in today for 6pm cares, Kayla got to nuzzle again today, she didn't latch on but still did very well. Kayla's desats are getting better she is sitting at 21 to 30% on her oxygen without having to chase her with the oxygen when she has a desat. She is getting much better and getting her levels right back up even when she desats low. Knock on wood but I hope this means we are almost done with these desat days? We will see it is all up to Kayla. Dr says he will keep her pressure oxygen at two for another day but they are going to turn off her humidifier in her incubator tomorrow and see how she handles it. These are tiny steps we take before we can get Kayla to an open crib, so exciting. Kayla gained some grams tonight and is every close to 3lbs 3oz, she will probably hit that tomorrow. Yeah, Kayla!!
